IBeam - Smart Joist (SJ) are produced from a combination of timber products with the top and bottom flanges of the "I" made of either even graded solid timber or LVL ( Laminated Veneer Lumber). These flanges are separated with structural plywood or OS (oriented strand) board. This creates a lightweight beam that is both strong and durable. I beams are generally used for floor joists in new constructions, renovations or extensions and are available with H2S and H2 LOSP treatment.
