Heartwood golden brown, often with narrow bands of darker colour indicative of the frowth rings. Sometimes reddish streaks are also present. Texture is medium and even. Grain usually straight but sometimes wavy, producing a fiddleback figure. Used for furniture, decorative veneer, flooring and turnery.
