Western Red Cedar - Thuja plicata
Heartwood is variable, from pale brown to dark brown. Texture fine, but uneven due to the prominent growth rings. Grain straight. Commonly used for cladding, external joinery, furniture, window sashes and frames, roofing shingles and shakes and boat building.
