New Guinea Rosewood - Pterocarpus indicus
With its variable grain and colour, this hardwood is mainly used for decorative items. Colour varies from a golden brown to a dark blood-red and often highly figured. This hardwood is readily easy to work and when freshly cut has a fragrant odour. Commonly used for veneers, turnery, panelling, flooring and furniture.
