A hardwood of Malaysia and Indonesia. Heartwood is a creamy colour, as is also the wide sapwood. Texture is very fine and even and has a slight grain. This material is easy to work and excellent for carving. Gives a smooth finish and nails well. Used for internal joinery, carving and model making.
