A large hardwood mainly grown in north Queensland. The heartwood is pinkish brown, very similar to Queensland Maple. The grain is straight and texture is even. Has a slightly greasy feel and is easy to work. Bolly silkwood is often used in decorative projects and commonly used as a contrasting colour to lighter timber species.
